Library

The library is housed in the Zoology Library on the first floor of the Graham Kerr Building of the University of Glasgow

We have books of interest to scientific and to general readers, and all branches of natural history are covered. There is, of course, particular emphasis on the natural history of the Clyde area, but many books concern Scottish, British, or European natural history, and aspects of the natural history of other areas are available. Categorised lists of books in the library can be seen here.

Alongside our own journal, The Glasgow Naturalist, there are about 30 journals published by British natural history societies and other bodies. These contain much up-to-date information on the areas concerned, and we retain the issues from previous years. A list of journals can be viewed here.

Members who wish to use the library are advised to phone the office at 330 4776 to check opening hours. The keys to the cupboards holding the books can be obtained from the Graham Kerr Adminstrative Office in exchange for their membership card.
